KShs471This Grade 3 English Language Activities Book uses research-based techniques to support pupils in developing English language skills. This book covers core competencies, pertinent and contemporary issues, and four literacy areas: listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as all themes and values described in the KICD Competency Based Curriculum. The book offers learners in Grade 3 a variety of learning experiences and assessments that support the expected learning outcomes in the key activity areas. This book builds upon the experience gained during the piloting of the Tusome Early Literacy Program. Tusome is a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and USAID. The expectation is that learners who complete the content in this book will achieve essential Grade 3 literacy skills in English, including reading fluency, comprehension skills and writing competencies. In addition, learners who complete Grade 3 English should be able to learn in English as the medium of instruction in higher grades.Beginning Movement Activities Grade 3
KShs485Beginning Movement Activities is a day-to-day fun and learn activity book. The book is carefully prepared to enable the learners enjoy as they further their competencies, skills and understanding of all the specific learning outcomes in the curriculum design. Peer assessment activities have deliberately been included in the book to enable learners engage in active learning and develop their ability to reflect on what they learn as they learn from others.
